News: Timbaland Will Produce Songs On Aaliyah Album

Several fans were upset following the release of Aaliyah’s posthumous record Enough Said featuring Drake because Timbaland and Missy Elliot weren’t involved. Then, rumors surfaced that Drake and Noah “40″ Shebib would be producing Aaliyah’s posthumous album and all hell broke loose.

Timbaland even responded saying:

“It would not be right to release an Aaliyah record without his involvement, “I know they trying to drop some Aaliyah records, but if [Drake] do it, it should be with me and him, and Missy.  I don’t know what’s going on.  For it to be on his record, that would not be right.”

According to MissInfo, Timbaland will now be involved on Aaliyah’s album. Noah 40 Shebib will produce majority of the album with Timbaland contributing two songs of his own. Drake will only be featured on one track.

Details have surfaced that Drake was not the one who leaked Enough Said, and that it was Aaliyah’s label, Blackground Records—which is owned by her uncle, Barry Hankerson—that released the track.

Thank God Timbaland is involved because it just wouldn’t be right without him! I’m sure Missy Elliot isn’t too far behind.
